How to use the project summary report in GroupCamp Project
The project summary report in GroupCamp Project is a set of metrics that allows you to monitor the status and progress of every project. The project summary report presents the real-time status for on-going, late and completed tasks and milestones.
It also presents the total estimated time for a project, together with the completed and remaining estimated time. The estimated time for a project represents the sum of the time estimates on the different tasks of the project. The last bloc of project metrics represents the time spent as recorded by all project members. The mix of billable time is also displayed. Project managers can therefore easily see how the time actually spent on a project compares with the completed estimated time. The project summary report can be printed and you can control the visibility of the different blocs in the report. This allows you to invite clients without making the time spent bloc visibile to them.
When managing client or internal projects you can therefore use project summary metrics to monitor progress and risk by comparing the values of your project metrics every week or month. Those values are stored at the end of every week and at the beginning of every month. You can also export the summary metrics for all projects in your account and have a quick overview of your critical projects.
