Cross project timesheet for managing multiple projects
Following our release of the new Timelog time tracking application in a project, GroupCamp is also releasing new features in the Timelog application of the cross-project view which we refer to as the timesheet view. The major difference between time tracking in a project and time tracking in the cross project view is that, the project timesheet view allows account users to enter time records on a project (for instance a client project) as opposed to a task in a project. In this new release we are also introducing timesheet reporting categories which allows users in the cross-project view.
The new features in the cross project timesheet view are described below.
New graphic dashboard in cross project timesheets
The cross project timesheet view allows administrators and managers to see the billable and non-billable hours for a user. The select options allows for a real time analysis with a breakdown of the hours per project and for specific working weeks.
Project timesheet and customizable time entry formats
Users can choose to report time in either days or hours but more importantly they can select in their personal settings the time entry format that suits their activity.
Timesheet categories as opposed to project categories
Although GroupCamp Project focuses on time tracking within projects, we have added the ability for users to manage the company’s whole billable and non-billable hours. Timesheet categories allows you to add time records which are not dependent upon projects. For instance, ‘Training’ and ‘Travelling’ are potential timesheet categories used in tracking company hours. They are different from project categories which can be used when adding time records within a project to cross-reference project hours.
Project timesheet & Reporting features for Administrators and Managers
Administrators and Managers can customize reports for users across all projects, export those reports in Excel or CSV files or print them as PDF files.
There are 4 options available for report customization. Administrators can select the relevant projects for which they want to generate a report for one or a group of users and also for one or more timesheet categories. The number of available timesheet categories depends on your GroupCamp plan. Please refer to the GroupCamp Project offering for more information on plan-specific credits.
Project timesheet and conversions
Please note that if you are using multiple time measuring units in different projects you can define a conversion rate to transfer hours into days the default conversion ration is 10 (1 day = 10 hours). Please see our blog for more on conversion rates and time tracking.
